Exporting UK goods to another country
When exporting UK goods to another country where the goods need to pass through one or more countries en route, transit enables those goods to move across union and common transit countries without customs formalities being undertaken until the goods reach their destination. Equally this system applies to moving imported goods across one or more countries to reach the UK. These movements usually move under T1 status.
