Import pre-notifications

An import pre-notification needs to be submitted to Port Health in advance of the goods arriving in the UK. These are completed at health certificate level. We have access to the systems to make these pre-notifications on your behalf, in addition to the customs import entry.

A health certificate confirms the product meets the health requirements of the UK. It must accompany the consignment during its passage. Products of animal origin and live animals require the consignment to be inspected by an Official Veterinarian in order to verify that the consignment’s contents meet the health requirements of the UK. An individual health certificate is required for each species/type of product.
